The Fuji era is not done yet. Adekunle Gold has officially announced Fuji Xtra, a deluxe edition of his sixth studio album, set to arrive on May 1, 2026. Five new tracks. Two big names. And if the lead single is anything to go by, this extension is arriving with serious intent and fire.
The full tracklist has been confirmed, and it includes “Formation” with Olamide, “Shake Shake” featuring TML Vibez, and “Blue Fire” with Simi, alongside “Life of the Faaji” and “I Got Wiser on My Own.”
“Formation,” the collab with Olamide, dropped on April 9 as the first single off the deluxe, delivering an upbeat Afrobeats sound, heavy laden with fuji. Hearing Adekunle Gold and Olamide on the same record is not something fans get often, which makes it one of the more compelling pairings on the project.
The original Fuji album, released in October 2025, was built around a rich percussive base rooted in apala, fújì, and tungba influences, with AG Baby weaving in themes of heritage, love, success, and the Yoruba oral storytelling tradition. He described it as his sixth album and a deeply personal body of work. It was one of the more culturally intentional releases in Afrobeats that year.
Fuji Xtra looks to deepen that foundation, and fans are eager to see what the 1st of May 2026 brings along.
