Asake Returns With Highly Anticipated Album “M$NEY”

2x Grammy-nominated Afrobeats superstar Asake has officially released his highly anticipated fourth studio album, M$NEY, via Giran Republic and EMPIRE. The 13-track project arrives as a bold meditation on gratitude, prosperity, and personal evolution, further solidifying Asake’s position as one of the most defining voices in global Afrobeats.

The album artwork, created by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar, presents a striking marble sculpture in Asake’s likeness, symbolising both his physical presence and the weight of his cultural impact. Musically, M$NEY opens with a live choral performance, immediately setting a spiritual and immersive tone that flows throughout the project, blending orchestral elements with the rhythmic pulse of Afrobeats.

Featuring a dynamic lineup of collaborators including DJ Snake, Tiakola, and Kabza De Small, the album highlights Asake’s continued push toward a more global sound. Standout tracks such as Gratitude and Forgiveness anchor the project’s emotional core.

On “Gratitude,” Asake reflects on the weight of visibility and the realities of public scrutiny, delivering a heartfelt performance over jazz-tinged instrumentation. Meanwhile, “Forgiveness” sees him turn inward, offering a prayer for grace and growth as he confronts past missteps with humility and clarity.

Speaking on the album, Asake shares: “M$NEY is a reflection of my spiritual and creative journey. Everything flows from a place of gratitude to God, and every moment that’s shaped me. The music explores different sonic elements, from orchestral sounds to dance beats. I stay true to myself but also weave in new creative expressions from my life experiences and personal evolution.”

The rollout for M$NEY began with the release of Why Love, a melodic and emotionally rich introduction to the project. This was followed by Badman Gangsta featuring Tiakola, a genre-blending record built around a reimagined sample of 1 Thing by Amerie, and Worship with DJ Snake, a cross-cultural anthem merging spiritual themes with high-energy dance production.

Since his breakout in 2020, Asake has risen to become a global powerhouse, holding the record for the most entries (62) on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and earning recognition as the most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria. M$NEY follows his record-breaking joint EP REAL, Vol. 1 alongside Wizkid, further expanding his already impressive catalogue.

With M$NEY, Asake delivers a deeply personal yet globally resonant body of work, one that captures his journey, celebrates his growth, and reaffirms his status as a leading force shaping the future of Afrobeats.
