Omah Lay’s sophomore album is still moving. “Clarity of Mind” has now crossed 300 million streams on Spotify, adding another milestone to what is already one of the biggest Nigerian album runs of 2026.
The numbers have never really slowed down since the project dropped. Released on April 3, 2026, the 12-track album debuted at number one on Spotify’s Top Albums Global chart, opening with 4.86 million streams in its first full day worldwide. In Nigeria alone, it pulled 3.38 million streams on day one, with four tracks simultaneously placing on Spotify’s Top Songs Debut Global chart.
Thematically, “Clarity of Mind” is exactly what it says on the tin. Where his 2022 debut *Boy Alone* leaned into loneliness and emotional isolation, this project finds Omah Lay on the other side of that, exploring healing, self-reflection, and a quieter kind of confidence.
Asides from established songs like “holy ghost” and “waist”, tracks like “Artificial Happiness”, “Don’t love me”, “I Am,” “Canada Breeze,” “Coping Mechanism,” and “Water Spirit” have driven the bulk of the streaming numbers and become firm fan favourites in the process.
The Spotify milestone is only part of the picture. “Clarity of Mind” currently holds the top spot as the most streamed Nigerian project of 2026 on Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube Music as well, making it a rare cross-platform sweep at this scale.
At 300 million Spotify streams in just over a month, Omah Lay has made his case louder than any declaration could. The album is still climbing and isn’t stopping anytime soon.
