Media professional, clinical hypnotherapist, and CEO, Tera Carissa Hodges, is set to take the stage at AfroCannes 2026, where she will help inspire the next generation of global storytellers through a powerful and timely masterclass.
Taking place during the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, AfroCannes has become a leading platform for diversity and inclusion in global cinema. From May 15–19, the four-day event—organized by the Yanibes Foundation—will bring together creatives from around the world for panel discussions, screenings, presentations, and cultural exchanges under the 2026 theme, “Narrative and Cultural Sovereignty.”
On May 16, Hodges will co-moderate a masterclass titled “Authenticity in Cross-Cultural Collaborations: Building Meaningful Global Films Without Losing Cultural Truth.” The session will explore how Black creatives can navigate cultural barriers, embrace authenticity, and create globally resonant films without compromising their cultural identity.
Joining her are notable voices including Juliet Ibrahim and representatives from Women in Film & Television, among others, making the session a key highlight of this year’s programming.
“As a lifelong lover of movies, it’s an honor to moderate and speak on such a meaningful topic, especially on a platform like AfroCannes,” Hodges shares. “Multicultural creative collaborations are something we need more of today. Having worked in the media and helped with television casting, I can attest to the importance of cultural nuance and proper representation—how it shapes the stories we tell and how it affects the psyche of those who watch them.”
As founder and CEO of LR Global Media Group USA, Hodges brings a wealth of experience in broadcast journalism and media psychology, positioning her as a compelling voice on the intersection of storytelling, culture, and human perception.
Her participation reflects not only her professional expertise but also her ongoing commitment to empowering creatives through faith-driven storytelling and purpose-led media initiatives.
With AfroCannes continuing to grow as a global hub for inclusive storytelling, Tera Carissa Hodges’ presence underscores the importance of cultural integrity in shaping the future of film—encouraging emerging voices to tell stories that are both authentic and impactful on a العالمي stage.
