Ghanaian music producer, songwriter, and vocalist Abochi has just unveiled his debut 10‑track album, “OKAYSIONS.”
In contrast to many releases that simply compile singles, Abochi’s new work draws from genuine moments and celebrations, adding deeper emotional resonance. He also produced the record, which includes collaborations with Dr. Cryme, Kwaku Bany, Okyeame Kwame, Kofi Kinaata, and AK Songstress.
Each track blends Highlife and Afrobeat elements, marrying modern production techniques with classic Ghanaian grooves. Highlights include “Wedding Day” with AK Songstress, “Happy Anniversary,” “Party Time” featuring Kofi Kinaata, “Happy Birthday To Me,” and “For the Bereaved” with Kwaku Bany, showcasing the album’s distinctiveness.
The sixth song, “Christmas in Africa,” succeeded by “New Year” featuring Okyeame Kwame and Dr. Cryme, captures the special warmth of a Ghanaian holiday season.
He also presents extended renditions of his well‑known tracks “Mama” and “Father’s Day Song.” The album concludes with “Celebration,” providing a delightful finale.
