Award‑winning international music star Yemi Alade returns with a bright and uplifting new single, “Mbali,” meaning “Far” in Swahili. The upbeat track feels like a breath of fresh air – airy, light, and strikingly relatable for listeners in a hectic world. Issued through Effyzie Music, “Mbali” is her second solo release of the year, showcasing the Nigerian icon’s desire to step away from stress, pressure, and negativity, and encouraging fans to relax, rejuvenate, and dance.
Yemi Alade explained the inspiration behind the track, saying, “Mbali is the song you play to live your life – after a long day’s work, when you’re starting your morning, or when it’s time to party the African way. It’s about choosing joy, claiming your space, and safeguarding your mental peace.”
