Apple Music Announces K.Keed As March’s Featured Artist For Rap Life Africa

Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, hosted by Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B, Ebro Darden, will spotlight rising South African Hip-Hop force K.Keed this month. Ebro and Africa Now Radio host Nandi Madida discuss her newest album Bite The Bullet and the fresh single “Dilemma” featuring A. Reece, which can be streamed now on Apple Music.

“It’s truly a blessing to collaborate with one of South Africa’s top rappers,” K.Keed says to Apple Music. “I’m a Hip Hop enthusiast, so learning that an artist such as A-Reece has embraced my music means everything to me.”

“After releasing a standout debut album, I’d expect nothing less, to be honest,” she says. “I’m grateful for all the recognition and opportunities coming my way right now. This is a monumental moment in my career, so I’m truly humbled.”

In addition to K.Keed, Rap Life Radio will showcase DarkoVibes’s fresh EP, Toxic Traits, a genre‑blending gem inspired by trap and sexy drill, as well as Joey B’s latest collaboration with Ghanaian rapper Medikal on their new single “Princess (Medikal’s Version)”, illustrating how Accra’s vibrant Hip‑Hop sound continues to evolve in its own distinctive way.

Spotlight On

With everyday reflections and candid self‑awareness, Gugulethu‑born K.Keed is a genuinely fearless artist, contributing to the growth of South Africa’s emerging Hip‑Hop scene. She confidently conveys her ambitions over laid‑back trap rhythms (on tracks such as “Trailblazer” and “Hi Hopes”) and delivers battle‑ready bars on (“3pm in Kempenville”), riding crushing trap basslines with a remarkably youthful vigor, positioning her as one of the most thrilling new talents on the scene today.

First To Know

K.Keed’s collaborative spirit shines prominently on Toxic Traits, where she partners with industry veterans such as Sino Msolo, Zoë Modiga, J‑Something, Kaylow, Shekhinah, and the indomitable Nasty C.

She also experiments with dance music on “Feel A Lil”, where breezy vocals float over warm synths and lush percussion, highlighting her admirable versatility as a songwriter.
