Olivetheboy Tells Apple Music About Working With Sarkodie on “Bend”

After completing “Bend,” I was preparing a second verse when the idea of adding another artist surfaced. I couldn’t think of anyone better suited for the track than Sarkodie. He’s a standout in that arena. In Ghana, everyone knows that if you want a rapper on a song like this, you go straight to Sarkodie! When I reached out, he already appreciated my vibe and was familiar with my work. So it was a natural fit. We also recorded a few more songs together in the studio.

You can walk past someone’s house and hear music—there are many clubs and venues where music thrives. So if you’re musically inclined, the brain absorbs those melodies, and you become subconsciously trained. There are festivals and events; it’s just incredible.
