Ghanaian performer AratheJay has decided not to appear at this year’s Ghana Party in the Park UK. In a formal announcement, he said the choice stemmed from worries about the conditions for his performance, which he believed would not allow him to give his best.
“I have made the difficult decision to withdraw… the conditions necessary for me to deliver my best performance have not been adequately considered,” he wrote.
Nevertheless, AratheJay lauded the event’s heritage and its contribution to showcasing Ghanaian talent over the last twenty years. He extended best wishes to the organizers and other artists for a triumphant 20th anniversary celebration.
The 2025 Ghana Party in the Park is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, at Barnet Playing Fields in London. Hosted by Akwaaba UK under the banner “20 Years of Reshaping Ghana’s Narrative; The Next Chapter,” the lineup this year features King Promise, Kweku Smoke, DopeNation, Moliy, Beeztrap KOTM, Cina Soul, and Fuse ODG.
