Bensoul & Njerae
“Colors is really about connection — the way two people can exist in completely different worlds but still meet in the middle through feeling. It’s warm, a bit flirty, and layered — just like love itself. Ben and I wanted to capture that push and pull between softness and intensity, the kind that feels alive but grounded. The energy is soulful and bright — it sounds like sunshine after rain.” Njerae
“The song came together so naturally. Ben and I had been wanting to create something that felt timeless yet fresh — so when the chords started flowing, the rest followed. It was one of those sessions where everything aligned — the melodies, the chemistry, the message”Njerae shares.
Bensoul & Njerae
Working together for the first time, the duo also enlisted esteemed Kenyan producer Kobby Worldwide to craft a sonic gem. Njerae, who has enjoyed a remarkable year, released her surprise EP on Wednesday, 15 October, featuring Bensoul on the lead track “Colors”. Kobby is celebrated for matching artists with his catchy, hybrid sound that blends R&B with Afro‑Pop, as showcased on “Colors”.
After a stellar year that included Bensoul’s hit “Kautamu Flani” and a nomination at the South African Music Awards (SAMA’s), Njerae’s relentless momentum has positioned this release as the pinnacle of Kenyan music in 2025. She has celebrated a prolific year of accolades, from touring with Kenyan icon Bien on the ‘Alusa Continua Tour’, to debuting abroad in Bradford, England, during the Blankets & Wine UK Edition, and seeing her EP ‘Four Letter Word’ amass 3.7 million streams. She was appointed a Spotify EQUAL Ambassador, honored in Apple’s Africa Rising Class of Apple in 2025, and chosen by YouTube as part of their Foundry Rising Class of 2025.
