Ghanaian gospel minister Danny Addo has officially unveiled his long-awaited debut album, ‘The Refreshing’, marking a major milestone in a music ministry that has spanned more than a decade. The nine-track project arrives shortly after the successful staging of his live worship concert Undignified 1.0, which doubled as the album’s official unveiling.

Widely known for his worship anthem Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song), Danny Addo continues to establish himself as a passionate voice in Ghana’s contemporary gospel scene. Beyond his personal music ministry, he also serves as Music Director for Phanerosis Choir at The Mega Church, where he plays an important role in shaping the church’s worship experience.

Speaking about the album, Addo shared that the project was birthed out of prayer and a deep desire to lead people into genuine encounters with God. “My mission has always been to lead people into divine encounters through music. The Refreshing is a sound birthed from prayer, worship, and a desire to see lives transformed through the presence of God,” he explained.

The album features nine uplifting songs designed to inspire faith and deepen worship, including Do It Again, Adom Nyame, Reason, Hwe Nea Awurade Aye featuring Kwadwo Awortey, Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song), Anigye Praise Medley, Time of Refreshing featuring Ps. Sammy Obeng-Poku, Well Done, and The Benediction. The project blends contemporary gospel sounds with elements of Ghanaian highlife, enriched with deep scriptural inspiration.

The Undignified 1.0 concert, inspired by the biblical reference in Second Book of Samuel, served as both a powerful worship gathering and the album’s official launch. The event featured fellow gospel ministers including Quame Gyedu, Sandy Asare, and Joshua Ahenkorah, who joined Danny Addo in leading worshippers into a night of heartfelt praise and spiritual encounter.

With The Refreshing now available on major streaming platforms, Danny Addo continues his mission to use music as a channel for spiritual renewal, drawing listeners into moments of worship and deeper connection with God.
