Based in North East London, artist Dean M makes a comeback with his newest single, “What You Can See,” featuring Soulo—a mellow, affectionate Afrobeat tune that fuses laid‑back grooves with sincere verses about love, safeguarding, and gratitude.
The track delves into expressing affection through tenderness and confidence, providing both emotional and physical safety for a beloved. Enveloped in cozy Afrobeat drums and gentle harmonies, it portrays a private exchange between two individuals, with Dean M’s relaxed flow beautifully balanced by Soulo’s soulful flair.
Dean’s path in music started when he was nine, drawn to rap and Afrobeat. While the art stayed a fervor during his adolescence, he only committed to it earnestly in late 2020, dropping his first single “Vision” alongside his cousin Mattz. The release garnered favorable responses and signaled the beginning of Dean’s expanding musical trajectory.
From that point onward, Dean has refined his style, partnering with artists such as Soulo and AOS Bandolier to create popular tracks like “Holiday.” He has performed at community gatherings and prominent events throughout Waltham Forest, notably the London Youth Awards 2022 and several regional showcases.
Through “What You Can See,” Dean M further hones his Afrobeat aesthetic while remaining grounded in genuine feeling and sincerity.
