Afrorock Princess Seefa Unleashes New Single “Run It

Nigerian‑American up‑and‑coming artist Seefa, dubbed the “afrorock princess,” boldly re‑enters the scene with her fourth single, “Run It” — a cross‑genre track that blends the gritty, garage‑style force of alternative rock with Afro‑themed lyrics and vivid Yoruba phrasing. The outcome is a song that feels both irresistibly rhythmic and hauntingly atmospheric.

Drawing inspiration from trailblazers such as Amaarae, Rachel Chinouriri, and Cruel Santino, Seefa expands her artistic limits, interlacing Nigerian slang and cultural nods into a worldwide yet intensely personal sonic tapestry.

Currently residing in Accra, Ghana, Seefa penned “Run It” following several months of creative stagnation. She explains: “One of the producers I collaborate with likely sent me this track in October or November of last year, and it required extensive effort, reflection, and countless discarded drafts before I uncovered the narrative I wished to convey. I’m thrilled I persevered, as this is among my favorite compositions to date.”

Featuring eerie guitar riffs that clash with propulsive drums, “Run It” transcends a mere track — it becomes a declaration of self. It demonstrates Seefa’s bold creativity and her knack for blending genres, cultures, and tongues into a sound wholly her own.
