Accra, Ghana, October 2025 — Ghanaian gospel artiste Baako Junior makes a return with a compelling new track called “The Lord Is Good” featuring Lisa-Pearl, a heartfelt piece that contemplates God’s steadfast goodness across all seasons of life.
Motivated by a profoundly personal event in 2020, Baako Junior explains that the track emerged amid a time of struggle and contemplation. “I was navigating a very difficult period in my life, and during that moment of anguish, I devoted time to prayer and slept,” he says. “When I awoke, I heard the phrase ‘The Lord Is Good.’ Although I had heard it before, it struck me as new, deeper. I understood that the most unchanging element in our lives as believers is God’s goodness and mercy.”
“The Lord Is Good” acts as a reminder that regardless of the situation, whether atop a mountain or in a valley, God’s goodness remains constant. With its sincere lyrics and spirit‑filled tune, the song encourages listeners to contemplate gratitude, faith, and God’s lasting love.
The uplifting track represents Baako Junior’s inaugural release of the year, and it serves as the lead single from his upcoming debut album, Goodness and Mercies, slated for a future release.
Penned by Baako Junior, the track was produced by Obiri Siaw, and mixed and mastered by Kwame Nkrumah (South Africa). With Lisa-Pearl’s soulful input, the record stands out as both a testimony and a hymn of praise.
“Whatever may arise, I will sing ‘The Lord Is Good,’” Baako Junior declares. “I wish for people to be reminded of God’s goodness regardless of what they are experiencing.”
“The Lord Is Good” is currently accessible on all major streaming services.
