Triple MOBO Award-winning rapper Guvna B has released his powerful new album, This Bed I Made, a deeply reflective body of work that explores addiction, recovery, accountability, and the difficult journey of rebuilding a life after personal struggle. Accompanying the release is the uplifting focus track “Healing Power” featuring fast-rising Ghanaian artist AratheJay, a collaboration that reconnects Guvna B with his Ghanaian roots while spotlighting one of West Africa’s most exciting new voices.

A standout moment on the 11-track project, “Healing Power” blends soulful melodies, conscious lyricism, and themes of restoration, serving as a beacon of hope within an album that confronts some of life’s most challenging realities. The album is accompanied by a short film of the same name, directed by Christoph Davis and written by and starring Guvna B. Supported by The Forward Trust and Samaritans, both the film and album seek to encourage meaningful conversations around mental health, addiction, and recovery. The record features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn on the fatherhood-focused “Stickers On The Wall,” Bawo on the reflective “Nearly,” and French-Congolese singer Claudia Isaki on “Kintsugi.” Additional appearances come from Samm Henshaw and the Melodies from Heaven Choir, while production is handled by a diverse team including Benjiflow, TSB, Joel Baker, Maths Time Joy, Quinn Oulton, SAMPAH, Zento, and Jacob Riddall.

To celebrate the release, Guvna B recently hosted a special screening of the accompanying film at London’s Curzon Cinema, followed by a Q&A featuring Jordan Stephens alongside representatives from The Forward Trust and Samaritans.
