Lampex Drill is setting the stage ablaze with his explosive new single Bounce. Where his last release Kumbaye, leaned into reflection, Bounce is unapologetically outward-facing. “This is my first time creating a song like this, reflecting where I’m at in my spirit, and I wanted to share that,” Lampex shares. That sentiment translates directly into the music: a hard-hitting production crafted with Oracle in Abuja, pulsing with percussive fire and a bassline that rattles the body as much as the room. Originally slated to include a South African spin from ESK Musiq, the creators of Stop n Go, fate had other plans after a robbery cut the collaboration short. Yet Bounce loses none of its power; instead, HYPEMAN Standard’s unfiltered energy injects it with unmistakable Nigerian swagger.
