Lampex Drill Returns with New Single “Bounce”

Lampex Drill is setting the stage ablaze with his explosive new single Bounce. A fearless Afro-fusion anthem infused with Amapiano’s hypnotic grooves and the raw intensity of club music, the track is engineered for DJs, dance floors, and anyone craving an adrenaline-charged release. Positioned as his boldest statement yet, Bounce cements Lampex’s evolution from introspective storyteller to party-starting hitmaker.

Where his last release Kumbaye, leaned into reflection, Bounce is unapologetically outward-facing. “This is my first time creating a song like this, reflecting where I’m at in my spirit, and I wanted to share that,” Lampex shares. That sentiment translates directly into the music: a hard-hitting production crafted with Oracle in Abuja, pulsing with percussive fire and a bassline that rattles the body as much as the room. Adding another dimension is North Central Nigeria’s famed HYPEMAN Standard, whose electrifying ad-libs transform the single into an immersive club experience — as if the track were unfolding live in front of you.

Originally slated to include a South African spin from ESK Musiq, the creators of Stop n Go, fate had other plans after a robbery cut the collaboration short. Yet Bounce loses none of its power; instead, HYPEMAN Standard’s unfiltered energy injects it with unmistakable Nigerian swagger.

For Lampex Drill, the single is more than just a record. It’s a rallying cry to move, dance, and embrace life with fearless abandon. “The beat is hard, heavy, and different,” he explains. “It’s built to make people feel unstoppable, to make DJs drop it and watch the room light up.”

Rooted in Abuja’s vibrant musical landscape — home to pioneers like Odumodublvck and Psycho YP — Bounce embodies the city’s hunger to claim its place on the global map of club anthems. Lampex’s journey, from his early breakthrough as a finalist in Mavin Records’ 2021 “Up Rising Artist” competition to collaborations with Davido’s signee Boi Chase, has been marked by grit, versatility, and a refusal to stand still.
