British-Ghanaian singer-songwriter Manye Fi is back with her new single, “Far Gone” — a confident, emotionally charged Afrobeats/Afrofusion track that blends rhythmic vibrancy with empowering lyricism.
At its heart, “Far Gone” is both a warning and a declaration of self-worth. Written during a turbulent moment in a relationship, the song captures the strength it takes to walk away from inconsistency and demand respect in love. “I wrote it in a rocky moment of my relationship, almost speaking directly to my partner,” Manye Fi shares. “If you decide to leave, don’t expect to come back to me with open arms.”
With its buoyant percussion, irresistible groove, and bold vocal delivery, “Far Gone” radiates confidence and independence. Fans have already compared the sound to Gyakie and Teni, calling it empowering, unapologetic, and real — a song for anyone who’s ever had to remind someone of their value.
Born to Ghanaian parents and raised in the UK, Manye Fi blends Afrobeats, R&B, and rich African storytelling into a sound that’s entirely her own. A classically trained violinist and self-taught pianist, she first gained attention at just 16 with her debut singles “Complicated” and “That’s the Only Way,” both of which earned UK radio airplay.
Her breakout moment came when a spontaneous street performance of Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” in Leicester went viral — catching the attention of Sony Records and Britain’s Got Talent. Since then, she’s been featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Introducing, and earned a nomination at the Ghana Music Awards UK.
Manye Fi has graced major stages including Ghana Party in the Park and Ghana’s 68th Independence Concert at Indigo at The O2, where she previewed her unreleased anthem “Rema” to a packed crowd. Her artistry has drawn admiration from peers like Cina Soul and Prince Bright (BukBak), while her growing audience continues to celebrate her as one of the most exciting new voices in Afrofusion.
With “Far Gone,” she reminds listeners everywhere: self-love is power, and knowing your worth is the greatest victory of all.
