For more than thirty years, eastern Congo has endured relentless strife, driven by contests over resources such as gold, diamonds, copper, and the coltan and cobalt that fuel our daily gadgets. In Goma, a city besieged by armed groups, artists put their lives on the line to voice their thoughts, let alone sing about peace. Still, Music Beyond Artists turned this harsh reality into a universal call: wherever suffering—whether in Congo, Gaza, Ukraine, or Sudan—hope persists beneath the same stars.
