SuperJazzClub and Cruel Santino Collaborate on ‘Wicked Remix’ Video

The Ghanaian collective SuperJazzClub has unveiled the long‑awaited music video for “Wicked (Remix),” which stars Nigerian alté artist Cruel Santino. The clip, now live on YouTube, comes after the track’s May audio drop and delivers a sleek, atmospheric counterpart to the song’s gritty club vibe.

First issued in 2023, “WICKED” is revitalised by Cruel Santino’s cross‑genre touch. Øbed, a SuperJazzClub member, produced the remix and said the creation felt impromptu: “The beat was made in 10 minutes — it felt like painting with vibes.” The song blends a darker mood with an unmistakable groove, underscoring SuperJazzClub’s knack for crafting cinematic, boundary‑pushing tracks that resonate in both indie and pop arenas.

It’s astonishing that the original version of ‘Wicked’ is already two years old. We recall crafting this track in less than 10 minutes; it’s the quickest song we’ve ever produced. The “Wicked (Remix)” is the lead single from the forthcoming Deluxe Edition of Monochrome Radio, SuperJazzClub’s celebrated 2023 EP. Drawing from a soundscape of early‑2000s R&B, hip‑hop, afro‑fusion, and Ghanaian hiplife, Monochrome Radio functions as a homage to nostalgia while pushing forward African sonic innovation. The collective calls it “our expression of what we want to turn on the radio and hear,” paying tribute to the influences that molded them.
