Following a record‑breaking show at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana’s rap superstar record-breaking performance has unveiled a compelling new single called “Asante Yɛ Oman.” The track stands as a sincere homage to the memory of his landmark Rapperholic Homecoming concert and the steadfast spirit of the Ashanti community.
Dropping on October 2, 2025, “Asante Yɛ Oman” — meaning “Asante is a nation” — encapsulates the solidarity, pride, and cultural vigor that characterized the event and its supporters. While the track was not played live at the concert, its sentiment is firmly anchored in the feelings and vigor that permeated the stadium that evening.
Within the three‑minute song, Sarkodie thanks the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the residents of Kumasi for their immense affection and backing. He recalls the moving moments of the night, such as the heavy rain that did not deter thousands of fans from attending.
“Within the first minute of the track, Sarkodie muses on the tears he shed from genuine support, noting that Otumfuo provided him with every encouragement he could desire,” the statement said.
Speaking in his own voice, Sarkodie says: “First, I wish to thank the Almighty God. Asanteman, thank you sincerely. Sark Nation, I will never forget what you have done for me. I will return.”
Through “Asante Yɛ Oman,” Sarkodie not only honors his personal bond with Asanteman but also solidifies his status as one of Ghana’s foremost cultural ambassadors — leveraging music to pay tribute to tradition, unity, and national pride.
