The song’s inspiration comes from its haunting cover art, depicting youth in South America trapped in cycles of crime and violence. “I wanted to capture that image from their perspective,” Bryvvn explains. “That’s why the lyrics are so dark.” Recorded in MGZA’s home studio, the chemistry between the two artists was instant, with MGZA’s production elevating Bryvvn’s commanding vocals into a full-on drill anthem.

While fans know Bryvvn for his R&B roots, BRKN marks his debut drill release, showcasing a new side of his artistry. I’ll keep pushing that Nairobi sheng drill vibe—though I don’t think people are ready for what’s coming.”
