Apple Music today reveals Ghanaian Highlife legend Raevin as the newest act to join its Up Next artist development initiative in Ghana.

“Being chosen as one of Apple Music’s Up Next artists, particularly as a Ghanaian representative, is everything to me,” he says to Apple Music. “This is my chance to be heard, and it marks the start of a wonderful journey.

Originating from Worawora in Ghana’s Oti Region, Raevin’s initial exposure to music occurred in church, where he performed on drums and trombone with the brass ensemble and sang in the choir.

Cultivating a passion for music during his youth, he broke through after providing vocals for King Promise’s hit single “Terminator.”

Raevin currently delivers a modern mix of Afrobeats, Afropop, and Highlife, while still drawing from the traditional Ghanaian sounds of his background.

“Music was nearly always present,” he remembers. “Echoing through the walls of my house, I dreamed of the superstars I admired from afar. Now that I’m grown, I recognize those same gifts within myself, the ability to narrate my own story and others’ through sound. It brings me immense joy.”

His Apple Music spotlight arrives alongside the launch of his debut EP Feelings of Raevin, a six‑track collection produced by Grammy‑nominated hitmaker Killbeatz, with the lead single “Fever” already gaining traction on streaming services.

Featuring a blend of upbeat hits and emotive tracks, the project showcases its authenticity, fusing lively beats with soulful nuance. Although it extends beyond Ghana’s borders, it remains faithful to Raevin’s heritage, proudly preserving the Highlife spirit through a fresh Afro‑fusion perspective.

As the newest Up Next act highlighted in Ghana, Raevin will appear on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist https://apple.co/3eITdJd.
